Two and a Half Studios is an independent game development studio based in Australia. We pride ourselves on creating immersive and story-rich games that transport players to new worlds.
We’re dedicated to seeking out and supporting innovative and creative developers who share our passion for visual novels and narrative-driven games.
With that said, let us introduce you to Astralis, our publishing wing. Through it, we hope to promote titles that really speak to us and reflect the values we care about at Two and a Half Studios.
What we're looking for
Our focus as a studio is queer or queer-friendly visual novels. We love BL, GL and Amare games a whole bunch!
We don’t have a strict set of criteria, and you can submit while not meeting all of the points below, but these will make your application the strongest:
- Visual novels or narrative focussed game.
- Scripts up to 100,000 words total with some amount already written, or longer if fully written. Alternatively, a full story outline and previous work that shows you are capable of finishing the project.
- Fantastic art that fits with our catalogue, if you already have artists. Not having artists lined up or already working on your project is not a negative to us, and we’re happy to help find people who would fit.
- Any age rating, but a focus on story-richness (even for adult projects).
What we can offer
We want to be very transparent about what we can offer and the conditions of our contract.
- Distribution through Steam.
- Entering festivals and events on your behalf.
- Advising on art, design and story.
- Limited financing opportunities.
- Kickstarter assistance.
- Assistance in the development process with QA and programming.
- Talent acquisition for artists, musicians, voice actors and more.
- Marketing activities, such as media and influencer outreach and social media posts.
- Outsourced trailer creation.
